Welcome to my cake world!
I am a self taught cake artist based in NYC. Before I started designing cakes, I never really knew the concept of edible art. I was initially inspired from watching cake shows and decided to give it a try. I was in awe of what I saw can be created with a little sugar and creativity. My first Kitchen Aid mixer was purchased in 2010 and it has truly changed my life. I discovered this hidden talent that I never even thought I had!
Being self taught gives me the opportunity to learn something new with each cake. I am always looking for ways to deliver my clients a unique, beautiful and yummy piece of edible artistry. Throughout my cake career, I’ve learned so much from online tutorials. This has inspired me to create my very own Youtube channel for others looking to learn new techniques. It makes me happy to know that I can use my platform to lend some inspiration to any fellow bakers.
This wonderful cake journey has led to one of my cakes being published in Cake Central Magazine, a feature on SatinIce.com and last but certainly not least a spot on The Food Network’s series “Cake Wars: Christmas”! It was such an incredible honor to be chosen for the show being that shows like that was what initially motivated me to give caking a try.
Making custom cakes are definitely lots and lots of work but it is totally worth it! It just fills my heart when I see or hear my clients reactions. It’s not just cake. I thrive on creating a delicious piece of art that is hard to cut, but when you do, you’re so glad you did!
